Kipphard Wishlist

Let shoppers save products to a wishlist and come back to buy later. The list persists — in the account for logged-in customers, via cookie for guests. More return visits, more conversions.

The problem

Many visitors are not ready to buy yet — they want to save a product for later. Without a wishlist, they forget it (and the shop). The best-known solution (YITH) has 400,000 installations but only a 78/100 rating — bloated and slow.

The solution

A lean, fast wishlist: a heart button on shop and product pages, a [wunschliste] page listing all saved products with a direct add-to-cart button. Works for guests and logged-in customers alike. Pro adds shareable wishlists, variation support, and statistics.

What it does

Heart button on products

On shop and product pages — one click, done. Via AJAX, no page reload.

Stays saved

Logged-in customers: stored in their account. Guests: stored in a cookie. The list is still there on their next visit.

Wishlist page

Via [wunschliste] shortcode: all saved products with image, price, and an add-to-cart button.

More conversions

Saved products bring shoppers back — and "for later" turns into "buy now".

Shareable lists (Pro)

Customers share their wishlist via link — ideal for gift ideas and recommendations.

Lean & fast

No bloat, no external services. Clean, customisable markup.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need WooCommerce?

Yes. Wunschliste extends WooCommerce — without an active WooCommerce installation the plugin shows a notice and stays inactive.

Does the wishlist work for guests too?

Yes. Guest wishlists are stored in a cookie; logged-in customers keep their list permanently in their account.

Where does the wishlist appear?

The heart button appears on shop and product pages. Display saved products anywhere using the [wunschliste] shortcode on any page.

Can wishlists be shared?

Sharing via link (e.g. for gift requests) is part of the Pro version, along with variation support and statistics.
