Backend Development & APIs with Node and PHP
When off-the-shelf plugins and builders stop being enough, you need a backend that models your actual processes: APIs, payment and webhook integrations, automation. I build with Node.js, PHP and Laravel — pragmatic and secure.
Integrations that survive daily use
Payment providers, licensing systems, CRM, newsletters, inventory: most projects fail not on code but on interfaces. Among other things, I have wired Digistore24 webhooks into multi-tier affiliate systems and connected learning platforms to payment logic — systems that have run in production for years.
My rule: as little custom code as possible, as much as necessary. Where a proven package exists I use it; where your business process is special, clean custom code with tests and monitoring is what you get.
APIs as the foundation
REST or GraphQL: a good API is documented, versioned and predictable. I design interfaces frontend teams enjoy using — and that remain extensible five years on.

Do you host the systems too?
I set up hosting and deployments (e.g. on Hetzner) and can take on maintenance. Hosting itself runs on your account — you remain the owner of your infrastructure.
